I started this business after being an engineer in the food manufacturing business for
twenty-two years. I always had a dream that I could do the same engineering better and at a
lower cost.
With my wifes blessing I formed Howell Consulting, Inc., on March 31st 1992. I have always
based my business on a "We Are Your Off Site Engineering Solution". What this means is: I
take on your project and I run it just like I would if I worked for you. I care about weather or not
you succeed. If you don't succeed I don't have more work. With several exceptions I am just
like an employee: no driving time to and from work, you pay no taxes, you pay no insurance, you
pay no workman's compensation insurance. In fact since I am a true contractor you pay none of
the headaches associated with an employee.
I employ people the same way you are hiring me. I choose the best of the best whom are
normally in business for themselves. I schedule the workload, and closely monitor the
progress by daily uploads of the CAD files. Scheduled meetings with these people are a
necessity that keeps projects on track. It also allows me to keep you informed of your project
schedule.
